A PLAN

Why this matters

The visa is one part of the move. The business underneath it is what makes the story credible.

You do not need more generic checklists. You need a clear view of what you are building, why it fits your goals, and which professional support belongs at each step. We begin with your facts, test the business reality, organize the evidence, and create a handoff plan for qualified immigration, tax, financial, and legal professionals.

01 / FIT

Start with your facts

Citizenship, experience, capital, family goals, timing, and your intended role shape the first conversation.

02 / PROOF

Build the business story

Market demand, competition, ownership, investment deployment, staffing, and financial assumptions should connect.

03 / MOMENTUM

Turn clarity into action

We help sequence the next decisions, documents, providers, and operating steps so the plan can move forward.

Who we are

We have lived the move.

E2 Visa USA is built from the perspective of an E-2 business owner—not a distance-only checklist.

Our U.S. company has operated successfully for the last 10 years through franchise ownership. We moved from Canada as a family, worked through the decisions that come before the visa interview, and learned what it takes to keep building after the first approval.

That experience gives us a grounded way to help prospective clients: understand the business, prepare the evidence, find the right professional support, and plan the move as a family. We do not promise an approval. We help you make a more informed, better-prepared start.

Our operator’s lens also keeps the conversation practical: Is this the right business for your experience? Does the market support the plan? Can the capital be deployed credibly? Who will handle the legal, tax, banking, lease, and licensing details? We help organize those questions and bring the right independent professionals into the process.

Find the path that fits the plan.

These are different business and employment stories, not four versions of the same checklist. Start with your nationality, role, capital, entity structure, and long-term goal, then test the fit with qualified immigration counsel.

The official framework matters: E-2 centers on treaty nationality, substantial committed capital, a real enterprise, and developing and directing the business; TN centers on Canadian or Mexican citizenship, a listed profession, a prearranged role, and matching qualifications; EB-5 centers on qualifying capital and job creation; and L-1 centers on a qualifying organization, prior employment, and a qualifying U.S. role.

Treaty investor

For eligible treaty-country nationals ready to invest in, develop, and direct a real, operating U.S. business—not a passive investment.

Immigrant investor

The E-2 focus

Not every good business is a good E-2 fit.

We help you look past the listing headline and examine the operating story: ownership, investment deployment, revenue logic, hiring potential, and the role you want to play in the company.

Whether you are exploring a franchise, an acquisition, or a new venture, the right match needs more than an attractive price. It needs a defensible market, realistic startup and operating costs, a credible path to revenue, and a role you can actually perform.

  • Market and competitionWho will buy, why they will choose you, and how the business can compete.
  • Capital and commitmentsWhat must be invested, when it must be committed, and what remains for working capital.
  • Operations and controlWhat you will direct, who will run the day-to-day work, and how the team will grow.
  • Evidence and riskWhat contracts, leases, licenses, financial records, and professional reviews should support the decision.

Starting questions

Good plans begin with better questions.

A few questions we hear often. Your situation deserves a tailored review.

Do I need to have a business already?+

No. We can help you evaluate whether to start a new venture, acquire an existing business, or pause while you strengthen the fit.

Is there a fixed minimum E-2 investment?+

The E-2 standard is based on a substantial investment relative to the enterprise, not one universal dollar threshold. The right amount depends on the business and the full case.

Can you guarantee a visa approval?+

No. Decisions belong to USCIS or the relevant U.S. consular post. We help you prepare a clearer business and documentation strategy, not promise an outcome.
